Go ahead and tease me, but I enjoyed the movie and respected its ambition. During a war scene, we see a photographer record what could possibly be the aftermath of the Battle of Antietam. I wonder if that scene intended to reference Alexander Gardner’s photographs.

Also, I don’t know about you, but having looked at Gardner’s photographs (been a long time), I find myself reminded of Francisco Goya’s prints.
