Art History Radio-A month long look into the music of Hildegard of Bingen

Welcome to another entry of Art History Radio, where visual artists create pleasures for the aural senses.  All throughout Women’s History Month, we focus on Hildegard of Bingen

This song goes by the name of O tu Illustrata.  The music  only comes from voices of female singers.  Their voices offer this delightfully ethereal quality as the main singers (Cristie Catt and Laura Monahan) belt out deliriously high notes.  Enjoy this delightfully minimalist song and imagine Hildegard herself singing while creating paintings such as this one.
