Art History in “Christmas Eve on a Haunted Hulk” by Frank Cowper

As with the blog entry from yesterday, I checked out this story from the Hoopla app.  At the beginning of the tale, the narrator describes a small town so desolate, it brought to mind scenes from Victor Hugo’s The Man Who Laughs, a book I am still reading.  He further dismisses the towns’ architecture as colorful, but bland.
