So I did “Tate After Dark”…

All in all, I found the concept of manning a robot stationed in a museum in England while living in the States both thrilling and scary.  When I did take control of a robot offered to me, I saw Rococo/Neo-Classical (I think) portraits of noble people.  Possibly done by artists that subscribed to the Joshua Reynolds line of thinking.  I think I also saw a landscape and a Biblical painting too, but I’m not sure.  While I tried to move the contraption as slowly and gently as I could, I had to stop because I found myself too afraid to move it around.   I knew there were sensors that gave the red signal if a machine went too close to something, but this overwhelming sense of caution demanded an end to the session.

Would I do it again?  Absolutely.
