Art History in Dan Carlin’s “Hardcore History” Podcast

Another podcast series I enjoy immensely.  With humor, compassion, and observations, Mr. Carlin makes for an excellent storyteller of historical events.  While listening, I overheard some mentions of art history related subjects.

Word of warning: these (extremely long) podcasts graphic descriptions of violence.

Prophets of Doom

In this podcast about life in Europe during the Protestant Reformation, Carlin briefly discussed the Iconoclast phase that occurred during this time.  Small, but I wholeheartedly recommend listening.

Logical Insanity

A podcast about the history of advanced weaponry that concludes with the Atomic Bomb, he mentions the bombing of Guernica and the painting by Pablo Picasso.
