I know the review in the link above praises the music for its lack of “tension”, but I hear it. And I mean it in a good way, for I love the sense of strain the musicians create in the music. This acts as a soundtrack to person trying to move with all their strength.
As I listen to the music, my mind conjures up wonderful imagery. I also love the use of flutes here, because they evoke imagery of lighthouses at night setting off a horn to aid any ships coming their way. The bells used sporadically make me think of the start of an early morning religious ceremony.
However, at about twenty-five minutes in, the novelty wears off and turns dull. As the first hour ends, a section of silence happens before the music slowly comes back up.
