For an exhibition about sound and technology, they did a sub par job in recording the commentaries.  It felt as if they talked over an old phone than an actual recording device.  Otherwise,  the series sounded fascinating.  Throughout the series, artists and curators explain the goals of the show and why the artists created their work.  One thing intrigued me at how incredibly personal some of these works felt.  A lot of art seemed to come from this place of nostalgia.  Other works play with the concept of past technological advances with present advances.  A sort of “the more things change…” type  of  mentality.  Other exhibits must have revolved around taking the observer out of the gallery and into a world they create.  Others created collages, with contrasting ideas meeting each other.  Pop Art references meets the Minimalist execution of playing with material than a narrative.  The head curator emphasized the idea of re-contextualization of concepts.  I noticed that a lot of music mostly revolves around music  from sixties, seventies, and eighties.  When downloading works, you will see photos of the art, others you will not.  With the longest podcast reaching three minutes and twenty seconds, this series makes for an enjoyable time, even if you have never seen the show.  The museum uploaded the series in 2007 and has not updated the podcast since.
