Focusing on portraits made by Americans (except for expat Mary Cassatt), these tiny commentaries do not even go over a minute and thirty seconds.  The narrator known as Wendy Wick Reeves provides a quick historical context and analysis of how artists rendered themselves and others.  The portraits not of the artists themselves consist only of famous and infamous people.  When you download these podcasts into your computer, you can find the paintings in the download section.  The paintings themselves range from abstract to realism.  Some feature depict only heads but you will find the occasional full body portrait.

All in all, a nice little series to listen to when one has a little free time. The narrator gives a lively and professional reading of each artwork.  You can tell she enjoys what she does.  However, they published the entire series on September 18th, 2007 and has not updated it.
