Shakespeare’s Restless World: Life Without Elizabeth

Click to hear the programme

This radio podcast looks at Shakespeare’s world (obviously) through the use of art and quotes from Shakespeare’s work.  Discussing the last years of Queen Elizabeth, the narrator analyzes prints and figurines and provides context for them.  However, what stood out to me the most came from the profile of Sir Francis Walsingham.  According to the podcast, his career revolved around preventing assassinations.

I want a miniseries about this.
