The Bechtler’s Tribute to Edith Piaf
In honor of the School of Paris exhibition, the museum brought out Polly Adkins, who played Edith Piaf, the street performer turned iconic singer. Adkins sang her standards also told her life story, a story full of humor and tragedy. Furthermore, she did this all to the sounds of an accordion. The woman had a lovely husky voice, although she did sound a bit strained at times. The staff also decorated tables to give the museum a Parisian café atmosphere.
