Waltz for M.C. Escher

What would a waltz dedicated to such an artist sound?
Very pretty and delightful.  A guitar-heavy song with a violin providing a contrast, I found it sublime.  However, I am not sure why the band referenced Escher.  Did the waltz motif meant to evoke the patterns Escher made in his work?  Just imagine the creatures illustrated by Escher marching, or even dancing to this song.
