I’m aware that Madonna plays Edie Sedgwick in this video, but the reference veers from either showing in-depth knowledge of Andy Warhol’s Superstars (Udo Kier, Joe Dallesandro) or very shallow.  I mean, why have Edith dancing in a disco club when in reality, she died before the music scene’s rise and heyday?  Going against this, The Boston Harbor Picayune claims the pop singer resembled actress Jane Forth.

Despite this, I do like the song.
