Art History and Album Covers: The Pogues and Theodore Gericault

I love The Pogues, and I love that they used Theodore Gericault’s The Raft of the Medusa for their album cover.  I also saw this when the Louvre donated this to the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Georgia.

Similar to Salvador Dali’s Persistance of Memory, it’s very tiny in person.
