Jean-Baptiste-Siméon Chardin was a French painter (1699-1779). Famous his work were common household items. At the Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum Tokyo, they has been holding this exhibition named “The master of silence, Chardin”. Indeed, I felt the feeling of his era which didn’t change anything in his pictures when I stood in front of his works.
