From the documentary, The Flowering of the Crone. Sorry about not seeing the film here, but I recommend clicking on the link. Out of the two films featured, this one stays true to Carrington’s story.
For me, this story represents Leonora Carrington trying to bust out of the gender restrictions with a little Feminist anarchy. By the way, did you know that the female hyena takes charge over the male hyenas? Finally, I noticed that this story resembles a children’s tale in the vein of Roald Dahl.
