From Science Daily: Giant stone head of ancient Egypt’s King Amenhotep III discovered.
“A colossal red granite head of ancient Egypt’s King Amenhotep III (circa 1390-1352 BC) has been discovered in his funerary temple of the Kom El -Hettan area on Luxor’s West Bank.”
From Egypt’s Golden Empire: Pharaohs of the Sun
For those who are reading this on Kindle, Pharoah Amenhotep III was a New Kingdom Era Pharoah managed to keep Egypt from being invaded by rival kingdoms with not violence, but with tablets written with text. In my opinion, this represents a Crowning Moment Of Awesome. The ability to stave off multiple kingdoms from attacking your kingdom without violence shows incredible talent and charisma.
